School orientation
Hello, parents and guardians of Hvassaleitisskóli students.
We hope you all had a wonderful summer. The start of school is just around the corner!
School orientation will be held Friday, Aug. 22 at 9:30am in the gymnasium. Right after the school orientation, students and families will go with their homeroom teachers to their classrooms. Next, students will go outside with school staff while families receive a presentation on the upcoming school year. The presentation is expected to last until 10:30am.
Student interviews for incoming 1st graders will take place on Friday, Aug. 22 and Monday, Aug. 25. Homeroom teachers will contact guardians to schedule interviews.
Classes for 1st grade begin Tuesday, Aug. 26, while classes for 2nd–7th grade begin Monday, Aug. 25.
The school opens for students at 8:10am as usual. Oatmeal will be available from 8:10am–8:25am.
