Epic Reading Challenge 2025
This fall, Hvassaleitisskóli participated in the Epic Reading Challenge. 2025. We're pleased to share that the school placed fifth out of 90 participating schools. Students read an average of 1,293 minutes per student in one month. This is an excellent achievement we can all be proud of.
Blær Guðmundsdóttir and Eva Rún Þorgeirsdóttir presented the school with special recognition for this outstanding achievement in early November. Our students showed great dedication, and it was truly wonderful to see how much enthusiasm for reading the competition sparked.
We want to thank all students who participated for their excellent work and parents and guardians for their support at home. Reading is the foundation of all learning, and this achievement shows how well we're doing at strengthening the reading culture within our school.
